BEA Bonanza Giveaway DAY 2!

As you all know I went to BEA back in May and had a blast!

So now it's time to continue spreading the love and the ARCs

If you missed yesterday's then you can go HERE now and enter!

The RULES (I know, I know, BORING, but a necessary evil...)

1. In order to enter you must be a follower and leave a comment on the day that you want to be entered in. (this is all you have to do to enter, but of course I'll give you a chance to earn some extra points :)

2. You can enter ALL 5 days!

3. For extra bonus points you can:
a. BLOG about it! You only have to blog ONCE, but it will give you an extra entry into each day that you comment - so if you blog on Wednesday and comment on Monday, Tuesday and Friday you'll get an extra entry for all 3 of those days even though you only blogged once (get it? OK!) Oh, yeah, and let me know in the comments on one of these 5 days.

b. Put a linky on your sidebar! (same rules as a. Extra entry for each day you comment) Also leave me a comment on one of the five days.

c. Tweet! (or Facebook link if you don't have Twitter) This one you get an extra entry for each day that you Tweet it. So if you enter on Tuesday, then you would Tweet/Facebook on Tuesday, even if you Tweeted on Monday for Monday's. If you enter all 5 days, then for maximum points you would Tweet/Facebook all 5 days... make sense? Include @SonshineMusic so I know you did it!

4. The contest will run for a full week. So you have until Sunday night (the 10th) to enter yesterday's contest. Then till Monday night (the 11th) for today's, etc.

Easy Peasy, right?!

Oh, I guess you want to know about the PRIZES for today!

Day 2: Fantasy Fun :)

  • A fantastic BEA totebag! (this one's from The Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno and it's quite spacious!
  • The Saga of Larten Crepsley: Birth of a Killer by Darren Shan (the prequel to the Cirque du Freak series.)
  • Cirque Du Freak STICKERS (I will have to cut the sheet up to fit it in the parcel, but you will get all of them, I promise)
  • Alien Invasion & Other Inconveniences by Brian Yansky
  • Nightshade City by Hilary Wagner
  • Bookmarks!
Sweet right?

Okey dokey, now for the un-spoilery mini reviews!

Another one I didn't read. I haven't read any of the Cirque du Freak books, though I've wanted to check them out. Didn't want to read the prequel until I'd read the others and I just don't have time to get to it right now. So here's the blurb from GoodReads:

Before Cirque Du Freak...
Before the war with the vampaneze...
Before he was a vampire.
Larten Crepsley was a boy.
As a child laborer many centuries ago, Larten Crepsley did his job well and without complaint, until the day the foreman killed his brother as an example to the other children. In that moment, young Larten flies into a rage that the foreman wouldn't survive. Forced on the run, he sleeps in crypts and eats cobwebs to get by. And when a vampire named Seba offers him protection and training as a vampire's assistant, Larten takes it.
This is his story.

Based on the title I was expecting this book to be a lot funnier and a lot more tongue in cheek. It had its moments on those lines and even though it wasn't what I was expecting, I really enjoyed it.

Jesse was having a typical day at school when everything stopped. Literally. His teacher, his classmates... almost everyone in the whole world just fell asleep. Not only that, but now he's hearing voices in his head. It's the aliens who took over the world in less than a minute. Fortunately, or not (depending on how you look at it) Jesse is one of the few humans open to telepathic communication and so he's valuable to the incoming alien developers. He's brought to the house of Lord Vertenomous to serve as a slave. Great.
Not that he's going to take any of this lying down. And it turns out there are others that feel the same way. And they just might have more power than Lord Vert would ever expect.

This adventurous tale of an underground rat colony will intrigue those who enjoyed the classic Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by O'Brien or the Redwall series by Jacques. The story is engaging and the characters will carry you along.

Vincent and Victor are two orphaned brothers on the run from the Kill Army. Ever since the Bloody Coup, all orphans have been forced to work for the dictator Killdeer and his cruel general Billycan. When their paths cross with Juniper, an old friend of their father, and his young orphaned niece Clover, they find themselves swept up in a bigger adventure than they ever imagined.

So there you have it! Comment! Enter! Run back and enter yesterday's! and check back tomorrow for DAY 3!
